Late have I loved you, beauty so ancient and so new - Saint Augustine (Confessions)

Y yo buscaba el camino para adquirir un vigor que me hiciera capaz de gozar de ti y no lo encontraba.

 So I embraced the mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.

The one above all, God blessed for ever, I called and told me:

"I am the Way, the Truth and the Life" and the mixing that food, I could not assimilate flesh as the Word became flesh, that in view of our infant state, became milk your wisdom, which all things creastes

Late have I loved you, beauty so ancient and so new

late have I loved!

And you were inside me and I (looking) out

And outside, I was looking for;

And as it was deformed,

I threw on these beautiful things you created.

You were with me, plus I was not with you.

I retained those things away from you

That if they were you, would not exist.

You called and cried, and my pride quebrantastes:

Sparkles and shines, and you healed my blindness;

Exhale and inhale your scent,

And now you wish;

I tasted you, now I hunger and thirst for you;

You touched me and want to forward the peace that comes from you.

Give what you command and send us whatever you want.

"You made us, Lord, for you, and our heart is

estless until they rest in you "
